The Strathwood's anti-gravity recliner is both comfortable and good looking. This is good because it's pretty well made, but you probably wouldn't want to lug it down to the beach. In fact, the chair itself is slightly askew and I attribute it to the shipping. When I use it, I recline all the way back, and then slowly move it up until I get the "weightless" feeling. All in all, it's a good product and I think the reasonable price accurately reflects its quality. My wife uses it almost totally reclined for her to feel weightless2.I weigh 170 and it supports me well. After owning it for a week, here are my observations:1.There definitely is a "sweet spot" for each person, most likely having to do with your height and body weight. It also sits too high to be a beach chair.4.It could have benefited by having a cup holder of some kind.5.Like other reviewers have mentioned, the box it came in was pretty beat-up.
Even though it says it supports up to 250lbs, I'm guessing that people over 200lbs should probably look elsewhere. 3.It is heavier than it looks. Be sure to check it thoroughly when you get it out of the box.
Amazon took the chair back but didn't not offer exchanges. One is great, comfortable and attractive. I bought two of these chairs. To purchase a replacement, it would have cost more money, as Amazon's price had increased.I'm looking for a different brand, something I can try locally. The other chair began falling apart before I got it out of the box. Little pieces of plastic all around. Lastly, the chair weighs about 20lbs. It's not something you can easily carry to the beach or lake.
Very nice chair. Very well made. A bit heavy for a typical lawn chair, but the comfort makes it worth the extra effort.
According to other reviews, I would keep this in a patio room, then only take outside WHEN using it outside to sit in the sun. Folds up easily to also put back in a garage or closet. I am a strong woman, so I don't think it was awkward to move as someone had said. Nice value for the money.
